1960 Austin-Healey 3000 Mark I BT7 2+2 Big Healey - Restored
Presented is a beautifully restored 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 Mark I BT7, finished in its factory two-tone Healey Blue over Ivory White, the same celebrated color scheme featured in period advertisements. This BT7 is the desirable 2+2 configuration and includes a rare factory hardtop, complemented by a beautifully trimmed blue interior. The Healey has been through a recent restoration and retains a highly authentic specification.
Power is delivered by the BMC C-Series 2912cc inline-six paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox with Laycock-de-Normanville electric overdrive. The engine bay is detailed and correct, while the fuel system has undergone a complete refresh including tank removal and cleaning, cleared fuel lines, and a full rebuild of the dual SU carburetors. The car drives with the torquey, mechanical character that defines the earliest Big Healeys.
The exterior finish shows excellent craftsmanship, with beautiful brightwork, proper stance, and fender-mounted mirrors, a look synonymous with classic British road sportsmanship. The interior retains the period-correct character of a proper Big Healey with a 3-spoke wheel, wood-grain shift knob, heater and ventilation controls, and a matching blue full cockpit tonneau cover with center zipper. A spare chrome wire wheel is mounted in the trunk.
