1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Coupe - Hot Rod Time Capsule
Offered here is a 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Coupe Hot Rod that keeps its classic 1940s styling and represents 1990s Hot Rod culture. This car was purchased in 2015 as a complete build and has approximately 6,000 miles on it since completion. Originally restored in the late 1990s, this coupe is powered by a Chevrolet 350 V8 paired with a GM 350 Turbo 3-speed automatic transmission. A Southern Rod Mustang II front end and Nova rear end provide a smooth, stable ride, while air conditioning and heat make it comfortable for year-round cruising.

This Coupe's front disc brakes with power assist perform well, and the car rides smoothly. The transmission has minor leaks from the transmission oil pan gasket and tailshaft seal. The safety hood latch is functional though it would benefit from replacement. The motor timing needs adjustment, and while the electric choke has been disconnected, the carburetor idle is currently set high to keep the car running and driving. The rear trunk latch does not lock completely but still opens and closes as it should.
Where this car really shines is in its overall presentation. The body is straight, the paint shows well, and all the stainless trim has been repolished. Inside, the interior is very clean with fresh upholstery, a custom headliner, and detailed finishes that give it a true hot rod feel. The trunk is fully lined to match, and the floor pans and door jambs are solid and clean with no signs of rust or neglect. This is a very solid build overall, with the cosmetic and structural work already done, leaving only a few mechanical items to dial in before it's fully ready to enjoy.
This 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Coupe is being sold as-is and is an excellent opportunity for someone willing to invest a little time into addressing the mechanical items. With a little love, it's ready to be enjoyed as a cruiser, shown at local meets, or added to a collection.
