1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS

This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is finished in Rally Green with white stripes over a black interior and power comes from a 302ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ Rally wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, a dual exhaust system, front and rear spoilers, a deluxe interior with a console, the auxiliary instrumentation option, a Hurst shifter, and a push-button AM/FM radio. The car is said to have been refurbished under previous ownership before it was acquired by the seller in 2002. This Z/28 is offered with partial service records showing recent Engine rebuild with over $10,000 spent.

The body was originally Rally Green and is said to have been repainted Rally Green during the refurbishment. Details include white stripes, front and rear spoilers, Z/28 badging, dual exhaust outlets, and bright-finished trim.

Silver-painted 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings with hubcaps and are mounted with 215/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires with raised white lettering. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl with a matching dash, console, door panels, and carpeting. Additional interior appointments include auxiliary instrumentation, lap belts, faux wood trim on the dash and console, manual windows, a Hurst shift lever, black rubber floor mats, and a push-button AM/FM radio.

The black and chrome steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer indicates 90k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added snes the full rebuild on engine.

The 302ci V8 featured a forged steel crankshaft, domed aluminum pistons, and a solid-lifter camshaft from the factory along with a four-barrel carburetor on an aluminum intake manifold.

The engine code stamp ends in DZ, which is consistent with a 302ci engine for use in a Z/28 for the 1969 model year.
