1964 Chevrolet Impala SS 409

This 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS is a two-door sport coupe that was produced at GM's Wilmington, DE plant and is powered by a correct 1964 409ci Turbo-Fire V8 block mated to a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in Azure Blue over Black interior and was acquired by the seller in 2010. Equipment includes 14 inch wheels, and a Delco radio. This Impala SS is now offered with a clean Texas title.

The car was finished in Azure Blue and was reportedly repainted at some point while under previous ownership. Exterior features include chrome bumpers and trim, anodized metal side moldings, quad headlights, and “409” fender badging. The exterior paint shows great in the sun and is in really good condition.

A Black color scheme is carried throughout the interior, including the front bucket seats, rear bench, carpeting, door panels, and dashboard. Additional features include a center console with SS badge trim, a Delco radio, beautiful chrome throughout the interior.

The two-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and fronts a 120-mph speedometer along 6k-rpm tachometer on steering column, a fuel level gauge, and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 81k miles, the car is currently in Kyle Tx.

The 409ci Turbo-Fire solid lifter V8 is equipped with dual four-barrel Carter carburetors and correct fuel lines, linkage, filters, radiator and these engines go for $19k alone. 409 sends power to the rear wheels through a rock crusher four-speed manual transmission. The front end suspension rebuilt and rear suspension gone through with bushings, tie rods and ball joints. Rear axle bearing, replaced axle shaft and bearing retainers. Installed sway bar and the front lower control arms are painted. The car also had all brake parts removed and cleaned and new shoes installed, replacing the gas line to carb.
