2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 427 Wil Cookey

This 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 coupe is #218 of 505 examples produced to commemorate the 427ci V8 engine option first offered on the 1966 Corvette, and power is provided by a 7.0-liter LS7 V8 mated to a six-speed manual transaxle. All Limited Edition examples are finished in Crystal Red Tintcoat with a black central stripe over Dark Titanium leather, and each is equipped with the 3LZ Preferred Equipment package, Spider-design wheels, and unique interior trim. Additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, dual-zone automatic climate control, a head-up display, and an optional stereo with navigation, a CD player, and a Bose audio system.

In addition to being finished in Crystal Red Tintcoat (89U) with a black central body stripe, the 427 Limited Edition is equipped with “427” hood badges as well as a body-color rear lip spoiler and painted door handle trim. The seller states the front bumper, hood, front fenders.

Chrome-finished Spider-design wheels measuring 18″ in diameter up front and 19″ out back were included in the 427 Limited Edition package, and they are mounted with 275/35 front and 325/30 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires. Stopping power is provided by red-finished and Corvette-branded calipers paired with aftermarket dimpled and slotted rotors as well as ceramic brake pads.

The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 27,573 miles.
The 7.0-liter LS7 V8 features dry-sump lubrication, an oil cooler, a magnesium-alloy engine cradle, and titanium-alloy connecting rods, and factory output was rated at 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential with a 3.42:1 final drive.
